Welcome loves!! First let me say, this is my first post and very impromptu. As some of you may know, I’ve been meaning to start my blog/vlog for some time now. As I was gathering my items I figured, why not just do it?! What are you waiting on?! So here I am.
For today’s Mask Monday I will be featuring one of my favorites, The Indian Healing Clay Mask. This is a Deep Cleansing Clay Mask made up of only 2 ingredients- short, sweet and to the point. This mask means business. You can literally feel your skin tightening and pulsating as it dries. Before we get into the mask, let me tell you a bit about it.
The clay I use for this mask is the Health & Beauty Aztec Secret Indian Healing Clay. This clay is amazing and multi use. A quick glance at the label tells you it can be used for facials, acne, bodywraps, clay baths, foot soaks, knee packs and insect bites! I’ve heard of plenty of naturals using this product to cleans and rid the scalp of buildup. It can also be taken orally for natural medicinal purposes.
Health & Beauty Aztec Secret Indian Healing Clay is 100% natural Calcium Bentonite, also known as Green Clay. Bentonite Clay is actually aged volcanic ash and composes an electric charge when mixed with liquid; giving it wonderful healing properties. Known throughout history for it’s alkalizing abilities, it removes toxins, heavy metals, impurities and dirt. It’s no wonder it can be used for everything under the sun, LITERALLY.
**It is important that you don’t allow this clay to come in contact with any metal as it will reduce the effectiveness. Mix in a glass or plastic bowl with a plastic spoon or whisk.**
Now let’s get to it!
You will need:
100% Bentonite Clay
Organic Apple Cider vinegar( if skin is sensitive, substitute for water)
plastic bowl( isn’t mine cute?! SALE!)
plastic spoon
measuring utensils
mask brush (or your hands)
spa head band (because it’s cute and keeps the goo out your hair)

Measure out just enough clay for the area you want to use it on. In this case, face and neck. I use one of my sons spare medicine cups to measure 1tsp worth. Then follow up with an equal part of your choice of liquid and mix. The ACV will cause it to bubble, go ahead- mix it!
If it looks a bit too runny it won’t hurt to add a bit more clay. It does tend to be a bit runny at first but it thickens up.

Spread it over your entire face and neck, avoiding the area around your eyes. Almost instantaneously you should feel your pores opening, pulsating and tightening. Taking in all that lovely oxygen!!
Allow it to dry. Feel free to dance in the mirror, do a few things around the house or handle other lady business. 🙂 As the mask dries, you will feel your skin tighten. It doesn’t end there, your skin will feel just as tight once you rinse this beauty off!
Rise well! Before you go at your face scrubbing, splash some warm water on your face and gently massage the mask off. This is a Deep Cleansing mask and your face will be a bit red. This is completely normal and will subside. The same thing would happen if you received a facial at the spa.

Once thoroughly rinsed, pat your skin dry with a clean rag( I prefer white on the face). Follow up with your favorite toner, eye cream, serum and moisturizer and Enjoy the results! I swear by this mask and try to do it at least every 2 weeks. Between then I cleanse regularly day and night, and rotate my other face masks.
